This photo was taken during an early start dodgers game. It was the only game that had decent light all year. It was hard to get the right aperture to make the player not look like a giant fuzzy something or other in the photo. After about 10-15 tries I finally got it.
Canon 1D mark 3, 400 2.8 + 1.4xThis was another great light moment. It was late in the day and I just lined up beside the pool and shot with a 70-200 with a 1.4 extender on to compress them to make a nice graphical photo.
This was a fun event because even though it was the US Open of Table Tennis, everything was very relaxed and you could pretty much go anywhere you wanted. Jordan (Murph) and had to talk to about 5 people before we got the right person to let us up in the catwalks. We only did this because we failed before when we tried to mission impossible style it.
This shot was taken with a canon 1d Mark III at 2500 ISO with a 400mm and 1.4 extender from the catwalk. I later found out that the camera had a broken shutter after 2 days of use.
This photo was taken during warm ups at the USC pool with a 70-200. The red in the foreground is the scoreboard backing shot from the parking garage.
